In The Flesh

INT. TARDIS CONTROL ROOM.

The Doctor races around the console, pressing buttons, watched by Amy and Rory.

RORY:
Er, sorry, question. What are you doing?

DOCTOR:
They must be controlling her from somewhere, directing her. If I can just find the source of the signal.

AMY:
Controlling who?

The Doctor pauses.

DOCTOR:
You, Amy. You’re not really here. You’re a flesh avatar, a ganger.

RORY:
No, hang on –

Doctor starts racing around console again.

AMY:
But if I’m not really here, where am I?

DOCTOR:
That’s what I’m trying to find out!

CUT TO:

INT. MADAME KOVARIAN’S CONTROL ROOM.

As seen in A Good Man Goes To War. A Technician is tapping at a computer as Madame Kovarian enters in a foul temper. The Technican tries to stand to attention without actually standing up.

TECHNICIAN:
Madame Kovarian!

KOVARIAN:
Yes, what is it? I’m terribly busy and important.

TECHNICIAN:
Sorry, it’s just... someone appears to be attempting to track the source of the control signal for the Pond avatar.

KOVARIAN:
The Doctor. I wondered how long it would take for him to work it out.  Cut the link!

TECHNICIAN:
What?

KOVARIAN:
We no longer need to maintain the pretence. Cut it, you fool! Cut it!

The Technician starts pressing buttons.

CUT TO:

INT. TARDIS CONTROL ROOM.

The Doctor is frantic at the console.

DOCTOR:
Come on, come on. (BAD NEWS) No! No no no no no no.

RORY:
Bad news?

DOCTOR:
They’re cancelling the control signal. (HE GOES TO AMY AND TOUCHES HER CHEEKS) Amy. I promise you. Wherever you are, we will come and find you. No matter how hard or how far. I swear. We are on our way.

AMY:
Doctor, I -

As she speaks, she transforms into Flesh which immediately dissolves.

Rory stares at the spot where Amy was standing, aghast.

RORY:
Doctor. Where’s my wife?

CUT TO:

INT. MADAME KOVARIAN’S NURSERY.

As seen in A Good Man Goes To War. Amy wakes up with a start in a bed. Kovarian is at her bedside with a cup of tea.

KOVARIAN:
Wakey, wakey, rise and shine.

AMY:
What – who –

KOVARIAN:
You’ve been dreaming, my dear.

AMY:
Dreaming? No. I was in the TARDIS.

KOVARIAN:
No. You’ve been dreaming you were in the TARDIS. But you’ve always been here.

AMY:
Where? Where am I? And who are you?

KOVARIAN:
Don’t worry, you’re quite safe. And I have some very good news for you.

Kovarian goes to fetch something.

AMY:
Good news? What good news?

Kovarian returns and hands Amy something wrapped in a towel.

KOVARIAN:
Congratulations. It’s a girl.

Amy looks down – to see a week-old baby!
